Art - General Studio Concentration

A Two-Year Program Leading to the A.S. Degree

This curriculum provides the first two years of foundation studies in visual art and design intended to transfer and serve as the first two years of a bachelor's degree program in a variety of art and design related areas. These areas include traditional and contemporary studio arts of design, drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics and printmaking.

The General Studio Concentration is especially suited for students who are not able to complete the credit hours required of more specific or intensive Art and Design majors and concentrations. It may also serve as a foundation for further study in related areas such as Arts Administration, Animation, Art History, Computer Graphics, Film and Video, Furniture Design, Metals/Jewelry Design and Museum Studies. Vincennes University is an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, (NASAD).
