Vincennes University Piano Day 2022

Where: Red Skelton Performing Arts Center
The Vincennes University Performing Arts Department ‘Piano Day’ on January 22, 2022, at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center. The workshop is designed specifically to help piano students in grades 8-12 prepare for performance and competition. ‘Piano Day’ will provide students with valuable feedback from VU piano faculty, Dr. Claudia Bossard and Dr. Sean Cavanaugh, for upcoming ISSMA auditions, competitions, and performances.
The workshop is free, however, advanced registration is required. The workshop will begin at 9:00am (EST) and end at approximately 3:30pm. Lunch will be provided for student participants.
Participants will have the opportunity to perform in a master class setting on stage at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center for the VU piano faculty. Additional sessions will engage students through critical listening, musical discussion, and participation in interactive sessions focusing on tone, expression, memorization, and how to practice efficiently.
All participants must follow COVID-19 protocols – masks must be worn throughout the event.
